Plan your transport

For flexible details, give a specific period and the contact who approves changes; “as early as possible” helps less than clearly described readiness. Check whether the recipient also accepts the alternative. For the quotation, the time assumptions at both handover points must fit together. We show you which option involves which schedule.

Where flexibility often helps

There is often room for manoeuvre with collection from your own store, with returns that have no fixed follow-on date, or when material is not needed at the destination straight away. If you can give a window of several hours or days here, the transport can often be fitted better into planning. Tell us where your flexibility lies.

Where dates stay fixed

Delivery windows at exhibition centres, get-in times at venues and organisers’ dismantling deadlines are usually not negotiable. Mark such dates explicitly as fixed and give the source. We then plan around these fixed points.

What matters

  • Mark fixed requirements with their source
  • Define flexible periods specifically
  • Check alternatives with both handover sides
