Plan your transport

Take the delivery list as a starting point and mark items that will be used up, handed out or packed differently. State who confirms the actual return quantity after the event. If there are several return destinations, assign the units to them. Outbound and return transport can be requested together; the quotation shows both trips with their own details.

Request the return at the same time

It pays to request the return together with the outbound trip – even if quantities are still estimated. The return is then planned from the start, and after dismantling only the actual quantity has to be confirmed. Returns requested at short notice on the last show day are harder to organise.

Dismantling, readiness and collection

For the return, what counts is not the official end of the show but the time your material is packed and ready for collection. State when dismantling starts, the expected packing time and the organiser’s dismantling times. That gives the realistic collection window.

What matters

  • Mark items used up or handed out
  • Assign confirmation of the return quantity to a person
  • Give return destinations per material group
